Jul 20, 2006 01:09:02 AM

Describes a method for assembling virtual fonts for traditional English text typesetting in ConTeXt, where ff-ligatures and old-style numerals are provided by auxiliary fonts. The specific procedures here are for using the FontSite 500 collection, but may serve as a helpful example for anyone trying to understand TeX virtual fonts. There is also a downloadable set of example files, including a Python script I used to automatically generate virtual fonts.

Furthermore, by using the Tk option database, you can set properties for an entire class of widgets with a single command.

You might be wondering why you can't submit comments here.

It's pretty simple. For various reasons I have decided to develop this site from scratch, and I simply haven't worked out how I'm going to implement comments yet. So for the time being, if you have a response to anything I write here, feel free to send me an email: matt AT gushee DOT net.
